Quilt Show Photos!

Finally, the photos are on the website for your viewing pleasure. Visit http://timberlanequiltersguild.com , select Quilt Shows from the menu and have a look at the nearly 200 items that were on display at our 2023 Celebration of Quilts in March.

It’s the first of March and the final countdown to the Quilt Show on March 25th and 26th begins! Sew much to do! Sew much to do!
Remember that tomorrow, March 2nd is the Quilt Show meeting at 18:00 and our regularly scheduled Business meeting to follow at 19:00. Check the calendar for more details.
If you have entries for the Quilt Show you must attend this meeting to pick up your temporary labels & bags or have someone do it for you.
Diane & Mary Anne asks that you bring a quilt that you’d like to have displayed in the Guild’s display at the Mall starting this week until the Quilt Show. This would NOT be one of the quilts you’ve entered it the Quilt Show! They’re asking for any size except king size.
There will be bags of 20 blocks each (from Block of the Month) at the meeting. They are for making Community Quilts. You are encouraged to take one!
The March Block of the Month has been posted to the Members’ Corner.
You might notice there’s a new section below the Block of the Month list on the Guild web site called the free pattern link. I’m going to try to post a new free pattern about once a week so check back periodically to see what’s there!

Members only: prepping your quilt(s) for delivery to the Quilt Show

MEMBERS:
If you have entered one or more entries in our upcoming Quilt Show, be sure to attend the March 2nd Business Meeting. Temporary Quilt Show labels and plastic quilt bags will be distributed then. You MUST pick them up at the meeting or arrange for someone else to pick them up. Safety pin (please no small pins) the temporary label to the bottom, front, right side of the quilt. Fold the quilt so that the temporary show label is visible inside the bag.

NON-MEMBERS:
We welcome you to attend our Quilt Show in March. If you can’t attend in person, a photo slide show will be available on our web site at some point after the show.
Guild meeting tonight
Don’t forget the two meetings tonight! If you’re on one of the Quilt Show committees you might want to attend the Quilt Show meeting at 6 pm. It will be followed by the general meeting at 7 pm.

Community Quilts
2022/10/11
Guild members, don’t forget the Community Quilt Workshop this weekend! It’s held at the Legion from 9-3 both Saturday and Sunday October 15th and 16th. There’s lots of fabric that’s begging to be sliced, diced and stitched into quilt tops. Bring your machine and do some stitching or lend a hand cutting and pressing.
We won’t split into a stitching group and a sandwiching group this year as we won’t be sandwiching any quilts; we still have several on hand that need to be quilted. So if that’s your talent, pick one from the pile and go to work or take it home if that works better for you.
There’s work to do and fun to be had so members, please join us for one day or two days; whatever works for you. See you there!
