COVID-19 UPDATE

Due to the current COVID-19 situation in Powell River and the responses to the Program Committee survey, the Program is put on hold until it is safe to meet. There will be no outdoor demo night this week.
For those of you who wish to pay your dues, please contact Kathleen O’Malley.

Did you enjoy November’s HST demo and want more information? Or perhaps you missed it and want to catch up. Check our Members’ Corner for links to the web site of the developer and her YouTube videos demonstrating the technique. And if you really want to go down the rabbit hole, just query ‘HST quilts’ in Pinterest for the many beautiful quilts featuring various arrangements of HSTs.

And don’t forget; you can make your December Block Of the Month using this method instead of the instructions provided.
The theme is red, but not Christmas and you need light, medium and dark fabrics in solids or prints.
Cut a total of 16 x 4″ squares as follows:
* 8 light
* 4 medium
* 4 dark
After you’ve stitched, cut apart and squared your pieces arrange them in the pattern shown in the diagram. Voila!
